Mauritian Society

Welcome to the Mauritius Society of the University of Bristol

"You gather the idea that Mauritius was made first and then heaven, and that heaven was copied after Mauritius": Mark Twain.

There can be no better description of our small island nation. We are currently 30 Mauritian students studying at the University of Bristol and our aim in setting up this Society is to promote the culture and image of our beautiful country!

Join in if you are willing to discover one of the best touristic destinations of the world! The Mauritian Culture is a vibrant one; with the island hosting all the major ethnicities and religions. Its cuisine is unique, and its customs, traditions and folkore have transcended generations.

We are proud to present to you... Mauritius, the paradise on Earth :)
