RACE. FREESTYLE. BEGINNERS. TRIP. PARTY!
The University of Bristol Snowsports Club is the BIGGEST university ski and snowboard club in the country, run entirely by students, for students.
As the the biggest club at Bristol, we have the best deals, biggest trips and maddest socials going! But don't be put off; we're an incredibly friendly bunch.
We offer something for everyone, whether its getting upside down in the park, tearing through a GS course in a cat suit or learning to make your first snow plough turns, UBSC truly is the club for you. And if mountains aren't your thing, then come and join us in our second home - the bar.
UBSC have weekly socials on Wednesdays at BSB on Whiteladies Road. With free food and the (un)welcome appearance of the Shot Ski, BSB provides the perfect warm-up to the night. We then join all the other sports clubs for the university-wide Sports Night at Bunker. Our socials are insanely fun and super welcoming! Whether you want to talk about that 30ft drop you hit on your season or have never skied and just want to ask questions, come join us!!
We also run awesome one-off events each year, including the infamous Valley Rally. With fancy dress and outrageous challenges, memories made and promptly forgotten, UBSC socials have a reputation for a reason...

If you're new to snowsports and keen to learn, join us and get involved!
Last year we had 30 beginners join us on a subsidised 4 session package of coaching in the UK, including lessons at both dry slops and a snowdome. This is the perfect way to set yourself up for our unmissable trip at Easter if you've never set foot on skis before, and we've even had complete beginners moving onto our regular training and joining the race team! There really is no better time or place to learn than at uni, and you definitely won't regret it!

Training & Competitions
With dedicated race and freestyle teams for both skiers and boarders, we have one of the best training set-ups of any university snowsports club. We run weekly training sessions on Tuesday nights to Mt. Gloucester; one of the best dry slopes in the country. This is supplemented with freestyle nights at Tamworth and indoor racing at Milton Keynes. These sessions are open to all abilities and the professional coaching on offer will be sure to help you take your riding to the next level. We always look forward to introducing people to the competitive side of the sport we love, so don't think you already need to be a pro racer to come along!
However, after scoring multiple freestyle podiums at national competitions last year, and with a race team that finished top 8 in the UK to boot, UBSC is also the choice for the serious athlete. This can be shown by our status as a Performance Sport club, ensuring we have priority access to the university's sports facilities with fundintg to run off-slope training like pilates and strength and conditioning sessions. We are also one of the only universities to run our own Alpine training camp over New Years for a week of intensive coaching, all at a massively subsidised price.
With regular competitions throughout the year on dry slopes and in snowdomes, there are plenty of opportunities to let your competitive side out.

Uni ski trips are THE best thing. Ask anyone who's been before and they'll tell you the same. And given there were 1500 of us last year, you'll be hard pressed not to hear about it.
UBSC runs the BIGGEST single uni trip in the whole country, not to mention the wildest. We bring huge DJs, bands, aprés and events every day. Sounds like your cup of Jagermeister? Then keep up to date for all the info this year (and keep your diary free in late March). The location and price will be announced soon - you won't be disappointed.
Last year the trip sold out *within an hour*. Don't miss it!
