University Issues

Coming to uni can be a very new experience and you'll need to adapt! By assessment time, you’ll feel calmer and more confident if you’ve worked steadily throughout the year. But do allow yourself to have fun and enjoy your time in Bristol!

Speak to your personal tutor or senior tutor about any problems you are having that affect your studies. (If you're unsure who this is ask in your department.) Ask for help early - there are deadlines for some processes, so it is better to say early on that you are struggling than to leave it until are you are at crisis point.

The guides below provide basic information about a range of academic issues. If you have further questions, or your issue isn’t addressed here, contact a Just Ask Adviser. We'll ask you to fill in a File Opening Form. This is a quick form to say you give us permission to record details about your case. If you want to save time, fill it in and email it to us with your query.
