Director of Finance, People and Central Services

We’re looking for someone with the passion to direct Bristol SU’s Finance, People & Central Services activity to ensure maximum impact for students now and in the future.

As a senior member of the management team and leader of a directorate you will be responsible for leading our finances, shaping an incredible, inclusive working culture and delivering outstanding central services for internal and external customers. 

You will be accountable to the board of trustees through the Chief Executive for ensuring that the activities and strategies within your directorate contribute towards the vision, mission, values and strategic direction of the organisation and deliver against Bristol SU’s charitable objects.

What’s the job? 

Role:  Director of Finance, People and Central Services

Hours: 35 hours

Salary: £46,494 - £54,127 per annum (Grade 9)

Contract:  Permanent

Closing date:  10am Monday 23rd September

Who are you?

  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • You’ll have significant experience of leading strategic improvement, cultural change and large projects to successful outcomes.
  • You’ll have knowledge of the accounting and reporting requirements of a charity
  • You will be a strong leader with well-developed leadership skills and emotional intelligence
  • You will have the skills and experience to adapt quickly to a busy and diverse working environment
