We are a free, impartial advice service for University of Bristol students. We specialise in academic advice such as appeals, extenuating circumstances, changing your course, and issues relating to your relationship with the University.
In response to the coronavirus outbreak, the Just Ask team are now working from home. If you want to contact us please use the online form or send us an email. If you need to contact us by phone please leave a message explaining the situation and including your email so we can get back to you. This change means that we will not be offering any face to face meetings or drop ins but can arrange video calls if required.

Our team is led by Emma Wells, Advice Manager. We have three part time advisers: Laura, Anne, and Nicky. Laura works on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Anne works on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Nicky works on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
When you contact us for advice we will open a secure case file for you and record your personal information, details of your enquiry and any advice given will be recorded and stored securely in line with the Data Protection Act 2018. Just Ask has a legitimate interest (Article 6 GDPR) in processing client data, including enquiry/case details. As such consent isn’t required when processing client’s data as part of their enquiry/case, unless special category data is being collected which isn’t integral to service provision, but can inform the Advice Service Manager of any trends.
Information will be used for statistical purposes only and will not identify you when compiling reports. If you do not wish for us to open a case file for you, you can opt out of this. Please indicate that you wish to opt out when you contact us.
