Following the success of the Bristol SU Living Room in Senate House, in September 2019 we opened four Bristol SU Living Rooms in Halls of Residence in the North and West Villages. They're in Hiatt Baker, University Hall, Manor Hall and Clifton Hill House. All students are welcome in the Living Rooms in residencies and you don't have to live in that hall to use them. Please note that opening times of these spaces may vary, so please check at the relevant student hub or porter’s lodge for up to date opening times.
Your Bristol SU Living Room in Hiatt Baker (North Village) is along the corridor on the left of the double doors to the Dining Hall, past the gym. There’s a TV, comfy seats and adjoining kitchen. It’s accessible throughout the day and open to everyone.
Elsewhere in the North Village, your Bristol SU Living Room in University Hall is on the ground floor next to the laundry. It’s full of comfy sofas, bean bags and natural light, the perfect space to relax and share stories. It’s open 24 hours to all students.
Over in the West Village, Your Bristol SU Living Room in Clifton Hill House is above the Residential Life Advisor’s Office. It’s got several smaller rooms, including a kitchenette for making tea, snug taking a quiet moment and activity tables.
Also in the West Village is your Bristol SU Living Room in Manor Hall. You’ll find it as you walk into the main building, on the left past the porter’s lodge. It’s kitted out with a TV, comfy seating and space to look out over the grounds. Everyone is welcome!
