The University of Bristol Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club is a UKBJJA certified society aiming to allow any students who wish to train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to do so, whether new or established in the sport.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (also called BJJ) is a challenging but rewarding submission grappling martial art focusing on the control and positional dominance of an adversary leading to one of many jointlocks and chokeholds. It is a key component skillset of the modern mixed martial artist, and a deep and engaging sport in its own right.
The ability to practice a full-body activity at a level of physical intensity that is up to the athlete's discretion makes it an excellent way to stay in shape, and gain a host of athletic qualities.
To keep track of our activities please join our Facebook group and like our page. For more information on the club you can visit our website.
