Welcome to CathSoc!!
CathSoc is the society for Catholic Christians, based at the University of Bristol Catholic Chaplaincy (est. 1964). Through regularly meeting together for Mass, food, teaching and socials, we aim to provide an environment for intellectual and spiritual growth for the community of Catholic students and staff. Whether you're new to the faith, a cradle Catholic, or perhaps non-Catholic and just a bit curious, you can be sure to find a warm welcome.
As well as celebration of the Holy Mass with our Chaplain Fr Rupert, the society organise discussions, debates, talks, (lots of) tea, community, theology, prayer, parties, pastoral support, pub trips, walks, weekends away, trips abroad, film nights, retreats, Christmas carols, charity work, worship, music, meditation, good food and more!
It all happens at 103 Queens Road, Clifton (next to the Students’ Union) - we'd love to see you for some of our weekly events:
For many of our members, the Chaplaincy becomes like a second home and family, and we'd really like you to be a part. At 103 Queens Road you will find the common room and chapel open every day from 9am-10pm, with space to study and relax as well as free tea and coffee in the kitchenette (message a committee member for the door code).
CathSoc Committee 2018/9:
