InFilm is a filmmaking and media production society at the University of Bristol for all those who want to create films, create videos with friends, and even begin their dream of entering the film industry.
In 2017, we looked at the current state of our Film and Television course at the University of Bristol and decided we weren’t being taught enough practical on set skills. With a lack of availability of equipment and a lack of knowledge about who wants to actually make films in their spare time, we would cobble together productions an hope for the best. Then it hit us.
Why not get organised? A society run by the members for the members dedicated to producing and filming WHATEVER WE WANT. After all, isn’t that why we chose to do film in the first place?
Do not be fooled by its film student beginnings this society prides its self in being open to all courses and all levels of experience!
Follow our facebook page (HERE) to keep up to date with our workshops, film shoots, festivals, socials, and so much more!

We currently offer a biweekly film Masterclass, raising money for Mind Mental Health Charity. We also offer bi-weekly social events (ranging to suit both extroverts and introverts) and film/photography walks (a must for budding cinematographers). Additionally, we offer bi-weekly workshops run by our committee, filmmakers from across the country, and industry professionals. These alternative with the Masterclasses.
Our favourite event is our annual InFilmStock, an event where we screen our best work from across the year, hold panels and talks from industry professionals, and a big club event to wrap the whole night up (yes, that was a film pun). Last year we were incredibly fortunate to interivew Charlie Perkins of the Don't Hug Me I'm Scared YouTube Series (187 million channel views, 1.5 million subscribers. And, 2019's InFilmStock is looking to be bigger, better, BRAVER.
