As one of the biggest women's clubs at the university, UBNC consists of 7 competitive teams, as well as a development and social programme. We cater to all abilities, ranging from those striving for high performance, to those wanting to improve their skills and enjoy the game with friends. We are a diverse group, from a range of year groups and courses, making UBNC the perfect place to meet new people. The club prides itself on our ability to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment whilst maintaining an aspirational attitude.

We have 7 teams competing in BUCS leagues, with both the 1st and 2nd teams competing in the highest division in the South West. These teams train three times a week whilst also undertaking a conditioning programme. The 3rd and 4th teams both train twice a week whilst the 5th, 6th, 7th and development squads train once a week with all teams undergoing a conditioning programme.

Alongside this, the club provides coaches for the weekly B:Active sessions held every week in the sports hall on Tyndall Avenue. These sessions are intended to ensure people are able to continue to participate in activity regardless of whether or not they have a place in the club. The sessions are FREE to those with a sports pass or just £2 per session if not. The club also provides umpires for the intramural netball league which runs from 10am - 4pm every Sunday during term.

A key aspect of our club is our welcoming and lively social scene. Our social secretaries Lizzie McGechie, Zoe Oakley, and Arty Prevot host socials every Wednesday at Alterego's before we would usually head to Gravity Nightclub to meet the other university sports clubs. They are also working hard to make sure we can still enjoy socials this term whilst maintaining social distancing. The club hosts formal dinners at the end of each term as well as alumni days, fundraising events and a tour. These occassions allow for club members to socialise and bond, creating a more tight knit sporting community.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch! You can reach us via our InstagramFacebookTwitter or email
