Club Training

There is an easy run round The Downs every Monday evening at 19:00, finishing just after 20:00, at a different pub each week for food and drink - check the weekly email for details!. It's a great chance to have a chat with people and for you to get to know Bristol as the route changes every week. We went to a lot of pubs last year but there are still more to go to! (don't worry about going to the pub in your running kit, everyone does and they know us now). Due to current government restrictions, we are doing our Monday run in groups of 1 and don't end at the pub - but don't worry; we hope to return to larger groups after Christmas.

 

Wednesday Training is our main orienteering navigation and running session and is at 2.30pm. This moves to a new location each week so keep checking your emails. It could be on the Downs, Leigh Woods, Ashton Court or in the city itself. We aim to sharpen your navigation skills through tricky routes but with help from other experienced Orienteers. If you are a little unsure of how you would cope running and navigating at the same time, or maybe you have never used a compass, then please don't be put off but come along and we'll train you up!

Despite the national lockdown, we are able to provide exciting training. So far this term we have already collaborated with Bristol Wilderness Medical Society in an exciting urban score event (essentially a timed scavenger hunt!). Details on Facebook/ Instagram and it closes 28/11/2020.
