Ultimate Frisbee

  • Ultimate frisbeee

Ultimate Frisbee (or 'Ultimate' for short) is rated the #1 BUCS sport you should try at University and is one of the fastest growing sports in the Country. Ultimate is a fast paced, non-contact sport, played with a flying disc. It combines aspects of American Football, Netball, Basketball, Athletics and many other sports along with a an inherent friendly atmosphere due to self-refereeing and the 'Spirit of the Game'. Ultimate can be played Men's, Women's, or Mixed and can be played at any experience level, from a throw about with friends to the World Championships.

To find a bit more about Ultimate you can watch this video here:

We are a welcoming and friendly club who also compete at the highest levels of University Ultimate. 90% of our members have never played before university so don't worry if you haven't either. Membership is only £20 for the year! We also have several international players, last year 2 of our Women (who had never played before university) competed for Great Britain U20s in Poland at the World Junior Ultimate Championships! As a club we have 2 Men's teams in the BUCS League and enter many tournaments throughout the year, from our very own Bristol Beginner's competition to Disco Inferno, Mixed Indoor Regionals to University Men's & Women's Nationals, giving you plenty of chance to play competitively at your level of experience.

We train every Wednesday and Sunday from 14:00-16:00 on the Downs, anyone is welcome at any time of the year. We also run experienced training sessions several times a week.

If you have any questions send us an email at or directly to our President, James Micklewright at Alternatively you can find us on facebook at or on twitter at
