Coming back for our only our 2nd year and the University of Bristol Roundnet Club is here to bring a new and exciting sport to Bristol students! Roundnet (also known as Spikeball™) is a fast growing and super fun sensation from the US which has spread across the globe and it is now in Bristol! It is perfect for people looking for casual or competitive play and is an incredible way of meeting new people. I've said enough, if you still aren't convinced, here are the most insane plays of 2017, which are well worth the watch.

So what is Roundnet?

Think of it like a mix of volleyball, tennis, four square (silly americans), lawn diving and trampolining (but please don't jump on the net). Are you confused? I bet you are because that makes no sense.

Roundnet is a sport played by four players in teams of two around a circular net. Once the ball is served onto the net, the other pair have up to three touches to hit it back onto the net. Once the ball contacts the net, possession changes to the other team. There are no boundaries, it is a 360º game! A team wins a point once the other team is unable to return the ball legally onto the net.

Why join UoB Roundnet?

This is a super fun sport which caters to all abilities. As a member of the Roundnet Club, you will have access to sessions, reduced admissions for tournaments and can tag along along to some relaxed and fun socials!

There is also a UK competitive cross university league which is being set up and will begin in 2020 so get hyped!

When do we play?

We have a weekly sessions outside with weather depending. We are remaining flexible through this COVID world and if you ever want to play or borrow a net just pop us a message

There is also a Facebook group dedicated to Bristol's burgeoning roundnet community, where we post information about sessions, tournaments and more! It is also a great platform to find players and organize pick-up games. So make sure you join!

Yearly memberships are only £5! As a member you will be able to access sessions for free, have discounted prices for Bristol tournaments and the ability to borrow Spikeball™ kits! All of that for £5 you say? If you think that's awesome, wait until you see what the UoB Roundnet committee have in store!

Please like our Facebook page or follow us on Instagram (@uobroundnet) to stay up to date with everything Roundnet! Feel free to contact us through social media or drop us an email at if you have any questions!
