The Best Student Life. Bristol SU

This time of year can be tough for students, so the Bristol SU Wellbeing Network has partnered up with student groups and University services to plan a series of workshops and socials to promote positive wellbeing and open conversations around mental health. Take a break and come along to one of our events to practice the 5 ways to wellbeing in a fun and friendly environment.

All events are free but some do need advanced booking. Click on the event to check and get your tickets!

If you need support

The University is always there to support students so if you are having a hard time make sure you reach out to your wellbeing advisor, your residential life advisors (if in halls) or the student counselling or health service.

You can find out about all the support here: www.bristol.ac.uk/wellbeing

It's important to keep taking time to look after yourself during exams. Here are some of our favourite ways to take a break:

Botanic Gardens

Take a break from it all and lose yourself in a world of plants. Entry is free to UoB students and there is now a WiFi connection in the garden. So on a sunny day, why not revise under a tree? Open from 10am - 4.30pm. Find out more here.

Residences

If you are in halls there will be plenty going on through exams. Check out your Resilife Village (North, West and East) on Facebook and your Resilife accommodation group to find out more about giveaways and activities.

B:Active

Exercise is a guaranteed mood-booster, so get yourself out of that library chair and B:Active! Sessions are friendly and open to all levels, with low cost and free classes in locations around campus. Book on to a free class here.

Volunteering

Check out Roots Community Gardening to get outside and get green fingered. Alternatively, the Big Give are collecting unwanted items so have a clear out for local charities and pop your items in the big red bins around campus.
You can find out about all the opportunities to give back here.

Bristol SU Living Room

The SU Living Room will be open as usual from 8am to 10pm throughout the exam period, and will be playing host to a range of workshops, activities and socials. These will also include resilience labs to teach skills for coping with stress from Off the Record!
You can see all of the listings here.
