Liberation Forums

Students sitting in a lecture theatre

Each term the Students' Union Liberation Officers organise forums where students gather to discuss particular issues and share experiences as members of a particular student group. The Liberation Forums are led by Part-time Officers who are elected each March by students who self-identify in each group.

The five liberation groups are:

  • LGBT+ Students
  • Black and Minority Ethnic Students
  • Disabled Students
  • Women
  • Trans Students

We also have three identity groups - Widening Participation Students, International Students and Mature + Part Time Students which are led by Part Time officers too!
