Information for Organisations

Students are a great addition to your team and continually demonstrate their dedication and enthusiasm for doing good. You can recruit student volunteers via our website by navigating to the 'Register an opportunity' tab on the left hand side of this page, and registering your organisation and opportunities. Here's a handy userguide to walk you through it.

We strongly recommend using the guide, but if you are unable to for whatever reason, here are some FAQs.


I registered ages ago, why do I have to do this again?
We changed web providers in August 2016 and we weren’t able to migrate all of our old hub details over. You will need to sign up again, but using the guide above it should be quite quick and easy to do.


I haven’t received approval emails
Check your spam folder for emails from techsupport@nusmedia.co.uk. If there’s nothing there, try and log in with the details you registered with anyway. We tend to approve organisations and opportunities within a day or so, so even if you haven’t got the email you should be able to log in fairly swiftly.


I can’t remember any of the details I signed up with/I’ve forgotten my password
Shoot us an email at bristolsu-development@bristol.ac.uk with the name of your organisation and we’ll let you know what email address you signed up with. To reset your password, go to http://www.bristolsu.org.uk/users/password/new.


I can’t see my opportunity
It’s a common mistake to input the information about your opportunity when you are registering your organisation. Your organisation will never appear on its own, only as a parent of your opportunity. It may be that you have forgotten to upload the opportunity itself.


My emails address is saying it’s already registered but I don’t think I am
This could be one of two things.
1. If you were registered on the old website and were invited to the new one via a personalised link then you need to finish the registration we started for you. Contact bristolsu-development@bristol.ac.uk and we can sort this out for you.
2. If you’ve registered before for any reason you will have to use a different email address. Maybe you’re a student who’s registered, or you’ve signed up to the website to come to an event. At this time we aren’t able to merge accounts, but watch this space because it’s something we’re looking into.
