The data has been transferred securely and is not held on the website. No other sensitive personal data has been transferred between Bristol SU and the University. The University has only provided current student data. Equality monitoring data is used only to look at service delivery and to ensure the University and Bristol SU are meeting the needs of those with protected characteristics under equality legislation.

Our system is run by NUS Union Cloud

Student information is provided via secure electronic transfer. The transfer ensures that Bristol SU hold up-to-date information at that time and ensure that the details of any students who opt out of the data sharing agreement are not processed further.

We may use third party companies as data processors to carry out certain administrative functions on behalf of the students union. If so, a written agreement will be put in place to ensure that any personal data disclosed will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act and have appropriate security measures in place. Any data used for these purposes is destroyed once used.

All data handling by Bristol SU is done in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
