World Citizen Artists’ mission is to build a movement of artists, creatives and thinkers whose aim is to create effective and evolutionary change in the World through events, exchanges and other opportunities involving the use of art to raise global awareness.
World Citizen Artists agree to abide by the principles below and report any breach of them to help protect the reputation and work of World Citizen Artists and our community. We reserve the right to exclude from our community, competitions and events anyone we feel breaches our Ethos or breaks its spirit either directly or through association. Decisions on exclusion rest entirely at the discretion of World Citizen Artists.
ENGAGE: World Citizen Artists participate in WCA to assist and promote WCA's Aim and Mission.
RESPECT: World Citizen Artists treat each other with respect, decency and honesty.
THINK WORLD: World Citizen Artists refute violence, racism, nationalism, ethnic or national discrimination or aggrandisement, religious proselytising, gender discrimination and any form of intolerance. We therefore engage in trans-national discussions that do not single out specific nations, religions or cultures.
GIVE: World Citizen Artists engage with WCA for public interest and non-commercial purposes.
SHARE: World Citizen Artists engage in solidarity, not self-promotion inside WCA.
In the fast growing world of the Internet, many arts and music movements seek to engage audiences with humanitarian agendas. However, what has been lacking to date are supportive interconnections, joining up the dots of these disparate communities.
World Citizen Artists is building the largest worldwide movement of artists and creatives working to raise global awareness and responsibility through creativity, peace and unity.
Artists Voices: We regularly feature engaged artists on Artist Voices. We only select arts, music and creativity to raise awareness on humanitarian issues. Selected artists are also featured on our social media channels.
Many active non-profit organisations are often overloaded and they don’t always have the time to include Artists who would support their activities and make their audience aware of their great work. By connecting non-profit organisations with artists, we facilitate their work and help them to have a greater impact on potential donors.
Awards and Competitions: We regularly select Awardees whom we have either noticed or have been recommended to us by our audience. These Awardees are artists, musicians and creatives who have already made a real humanitarian difference in the World through their work. We also occasionally run competitions. Please click here to find out more about our Awards initiatives.
We're launching a new Solidarity Awards initiative and we're looking for two admin assistants. One assistant to help us during the lockdown and one assistant for longer term.
