The Global Lounge is a cultural hub which encourages integration of all students – home and international through a vast range of social events and cultural celebrations. It gives students the chance to share experiences, make friends and find out about global opportunities available to them at the University.
Many international students attend pre-sessional summer courses because they have received an undergraduate or postgraduate offer from the University of Bristol and want to develop their academic skills, improve their academic English, and learn about living and studying in the UK. This year pre-sessional courses will run online only.
“Buddy Circles” is a virtual summer programme organised by the Global Lounge team to help these students feel part of the University community from the comfort of their home abroad. The programme is run by Buddy Circle Facilitators who are current University of Bristol students and recent graduates. In this role you will share your personal experience as a student living in the UK as well as building relationships with international students and helping them connect with one another.
