YHA England and Wales has youth hostels in amazing locations in cities, towns, the countryside and by the sea. Youth hostels offer a place to stay, a warm and safe welcome, accessible and flexible accommodation, activities and education packages and best of all we are open to everyone, whatever age or where they are from.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to discover, explore and experience something new and what better way than through volunteering. Our mission is to reach out and enhance the lives of all young people, with the goal of reaching more than one million young people every year by 2020.
Volunteering with YHA is a fantastic way to have fun, learn new skills, meet new people, boost your CV and give something back. We can offer help with travel expenses, discounted meals and even free stays for volunteers taking part in residential opportunities. We have a variety of different volunteering opportunities so you can choose when, where and how you give your time to support us.
What will I gain? You will gain excellent experience and develop your skills in mentoring children and young people in a residential setting, leadership and communication. Make fantastic memories and new friends. We can give you a reference and certificate. You will receive free food and accommodation whilst at camp and travel expenses up to a maximum of £120.
