CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. We provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. We are there from diagnosis onwards and aim to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.
Why we need you
CLIC Sargent fights tirelessly for children and young people with cancer, often when they feel they can’t. We do this individually, locally and nationally, so that they can focus on the important things, like getting well. And if the worst happens, we will work with bereaved families to get them support, to help them cope with their emotional pain.
Our Cotham Hill shop is looking for new volunteers to join the team so that we can raise even more for the children and young people who we support! If you want to be part of an energetic team fighting for young lives against cancer then this is the opportunity for you. Whether you have years of experience, are new to volunteering or just want to meet like-minded people, we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in a range of tasks depending on the need of the shop. Tasks may include:
