Talking Money are looking for a Fundraising volunteer to help raise vital funds for a local Bristol charity.


We are looking for someone who has a flair for writing, a passion for meeting new people and is confident in networking. You will have a willingness to learn skills in a variety of fundraising streams, including: digital fundraising, trusts fundraising and community fundraising. Whether you have a personal experience of fundraising, or want to learn more, we are interested in hearing from you.


Talking Money are a leading independent money advice charity providing a range of services to communities of high deprivation in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Many of Talking Money’s clients come from Lawrence Hill, which is amongst the 10% most deprived wards in the country. Talking Money’s Mission is to “empower and enable people to tackle financial challenges through advice, financial education and support.” Established in 1990, the organisation has nearly 30 years’ experience in fighting extreme poverty, homelessness and social isolation. We help disadvantaged individuals and families improve their financial circumstances and move out of financial hardship. Clients come to us when they are in crisis and we help them with expert advice on debt, benefits, fuel poverty and financial inclusion. 


This is a volunteering position, with expenses paid, for up to two days a week. The role will be based in our office on West Street, Old Market, and we can be flexible around term times and exam periods.
