Which city on Earth has the most wildlife and the most nature loving citizens? Help Bristol and Bath show the world how amazing our region is for people and nature by joining us in an epic contest: to discover and record as much wildlife as possible over 4 days.
Competing with 65 cities on five continents, we need you to join the race by sending us your wildlife sightings over 27-30 April 2018. Your observations count towards local, national and international efforts to learn about and protect our regions' amazing wildlife.
How can you help?
Are you mad about moths, amazed by amphibians or in love with lichens? We are looking for enthusiastic amateur naturalists of all levels of experience to join the race for City Nature Challenge 2018. Each team will have a bespoke schedule of surveying activity seeking out, identifying and recording their chosen wildlife group and you can take part for as much or as little of the challenge as you like.
The Survey Teams will be our task force for City Nature Challenge, gathering the majority of our species data and showcasing the weird and wonderful wildlife we share our region with.
We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled media volunteers to be the eyes and ears of City Nature Challenge. Your role will be to gather and share stories from across the wide range of activity.
Capture the action through photography, blogging or as part of our filming team or share stories as they happen through your preferred social media channel
We’re looking for people with specialist skills in social media, photography or filmmaking.
