Planet Patrol was set up in 2016 to protect our planet and wildlife by addressing the pressing threats of litter and the single-use culture. We organise and run activity-based litter picks, combining fun, outdoor activities with clean-ups to help people reconnect with nature and protect their local environment. We are a community-focused, solution-orientated, non-profit organisation: a movement of people working for a cleaner future. With your help we can continue our mission to stop pollution at the source.
It's not just litter picking: we go a step further and have created a free Litter Tracking app to log the types, brands, quantities and locations of all the litter we find. This contributes towards our growing database of evidence, which currently contains over 300,000 pieces of litter collected in 83 countries around the world. We work with scientists to help us analyse the data, and then use this to hold government and industry to account.
Our new Uni Network is aimed at students, to help grow our community to find people who want to actively engage in changing attitudes and behaviours for the sake of our planet. Through your involvement, you'll gain essential skills, knowledge and experience to further your own career development, as well as having the opportunity to make genuine, meaningful change. You can apply to become part of our Uni Network as an individual, or as a representative of a club, society or department within your university.

Planet Patrol have recently launched a new Uni Network, working to engage university students in our mission to clean up the planet and end the single-use culture. We want to connect like-minded students within and across universities, to help build a community of eco-minded, motivated and passionate people.
You will be responsible for organising and leading litter picks within your university, reaching out to clubs, societies and departments to help spread the word about Planet Patrol's mission. All of the training, support and equipment you need for the role will be provided by the Planet Patrol team, allowing you to gain essential skills, knowledge and experience to help with your own career development.
We appreciate that every university is different, so we're looking for your ideas and recommendations on how to run the Planet Patrol Uni Network within your institution to best raise awareness and engage others. We'll set up an exclusive Planet Patrol facebook page for your university, which you will manage and use to promote activities, fundraising events, news and anything else you want to share with your community.
You don't need any formal qualifications to apply: all we ask is that you are enthusiastic, a good communicator and have a genuine passion for the environment and all of the benefits that come with it.
