Bristol Hub are recruiting for the 2021/22 Inspire, Debate, Change Committee!

Inspire, Debate, Change was launched by Bristol Hub this year, in collaboration with Southampton Hub. In 2021/22, Bristol Hub will run this programme independently, and we are looking for one to two individuals to act as Coordinators. This is a great role for someone passionate, innovative and determined to make change. 

We’re looking for one to two individuals that are passionate about politics, civil education and innovation to take on the role of Political Education Coordinator. Don’t worry if you feel like you don’t have experience, we are keen to hear from self-starters and enthusiastic individuals.

This opportunity will run for the duration of the 21/22 academic year (September-May).

Key responsibilities:

  • Programme development - support the Programmes Manager to develop the programme from its pilot, and support with session preparation and planning 
  • Stakeholder management - correspond with schools 
  • Communications and outreach - create marketing materials, organise information sessions, spread the word on campus through lecture shout-outs/ flyering/ social media and more
  • Volunteer recruitment - support staff with recruitment communications, facilitate training sessions 
  • Volunteer management - deliver the workshops and support other volunteers

Alongside the key responsibilities specific to this role, members of the Inspire, Debate, Change Committee also have the following general responsibilities:

  • Attend committee meetings
  • Support the rest of the committee in their work
  • Provide logistical support at Freshers’ Fair, socials and events as required
  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the committee and the Programmes Manager
