Bristol Hub are recruiting for the 2021/22 LinkAges Committee!

LinkAges is an intergenerational project that aims to connect students with older people in the community, to tackle the social isolation and loneliness that they often experience. As a committee member you’ll support us to achieve our mission by engaging other students with this cause and inspiring them to take action.

We’re looking for a motivated and passionate individual to take on the role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Don’t worry if you feel like you don’t have experience, we are keen to hear from self-starters and enthusiastic individuals.

This opportunity will run for the duration of the 21/22 academic year (September-May).

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage Facebook group and Instagram page. Keeping it active with key information and interesting content relevant to volunteers. 
  • Attend events and placements to take photos and gather quotes and case studies as much as possible. 

Alongside the key responsibilities specific to this role, members of the LinkAges Committee also have the following general responsibilities:

  • Attend weekly committee meetings
  • Support the rest of the committee in their work
  • Provide logistical support at Freshers’ Fair, socials and events as required
  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the committee and the Hub staff team
  • Support recruitment
  • Help with publicity including, but not confined to, maximising outreach of social media events and leafleting
