Student Volunteers for ICT4S conference

Student Volunteers play a key role in the success of ICT4S by supporting the overall conference and conference attendees. Student volunteers help with the administration of the conference and have the opportunity to meet, interact, and network with leading academic and industrial researchers and practitioners. Such interactions often help shape students’ research direction.

We invite passionate and reliable Student Volunteers to help us run the frist fully virtual ICT4S conference. Being a student volunteer is a great way to meet other students from all over the world that share your interest in ICT for sustainability. We strongly encourage you to use this event to build your professional network.


What is in it for you?

  • Free registration to the conference including the opportunity to listen to some presentations

What we ask of you

  • Must be enrolled as a PhD, Masters or full-time undergraduate at the time of the conference
  • Must have good communication skills in English
  • Experience using teleconferencing and document sharing such as Google Docs
  • 5 part-days of volunteering during the conference
  • Provide technical assistance remotely to attendees in connecting to the online platform
  • Provide technical assistance remotely to speakers during presentations
  • Provide assistance for attendees with special needs

Note:   Student Volunteers will NOT travel for this conference. Training will be provided to the volunteers on the use and troubleshooting of the conference tools. Throughout the conference, the student volunteers will also be assisted by IT support, if necessary.

            The letter should cover your organizational skills, willingness to help, proficiency in English, and anything else that will help us select you as a student volunteer.
