Established in 2005, The Future Economy Network is one of the largest green business networks in the UK. We give organisations the space, knowledge, contacts and tools to accelerate their sustainability journey and progress towards carbon neutrality. We do this by showcasing innovative solutions, facilitating future-thinking discussions and collaborating with one another.
The Future Economy Network facilitate weekly high-quality sustainability-related events and networking opportunities for a business audience. In 2019, we delivered 57 events throughout Bristol, North Somerset, B&NES and South Gloucestershire, with a total of over 3000 attendances. These events have now gone virtual, meaning we have welcomed attendees from as far afield as Australia to share in our sustainability discussions!
In 2018, The Future Economy Network launched their inaugural Festival of Sustainable Business which saw 1500 attendees, over 60 expert speakers and over 50 exhibitors all with the shared aim of progressing the Bristol region’s sustainability journey.
In 2020, in response to the climate and ecological emergency, we opened the Future Leap Hub: a carbon neutral sustainable business hub offering retail, co-working, event and meeting space, sustainability consultancy, exhibition space and an eco-café and catering service. This Bristol-based hub brings together like-minded companies and acts as a showcase for sustainable businesses. It is also the home of The Future Economy Network team!
We run weekly sustainability-themed events for the business community. These are mostly multi-speaker seminars with networking, Q&A and refreshments, and are 2 - 2.5 hours long. Topics can range from renewable energy to agriculture, technology to social sustainability, carbon neutrality to construction, wellbeing to B Corp. Sometimes our events are workshops or roundtables.
