'Think Global' Event Speaker

Details Hide[-]

Think Global is a new weekly event offering a fantastic opportunity for volunteers to share their knowledge of a topic with a global theme, such as societal changes, environmental issues, international relations and scientific advances. This is a great chance for you to share and present your knowledge of a particular area or specialism, whilst gaining important transferable skills, like communication, public speaking and confidence-building.

Our Think Global event consists of a presentation from the speaker followed by a Q&A, where Global Lounge ambassadors will take questions from the audience!

Volunteers need to be available for one Friday afternoon during term time. In their own time and with sufficient notice, volunteers need to prepare a 30 minute presentation on their preferred topic in time for the scheduled event.

Everyone is welcome to apply. If your area of interest has a global focus, why not share your expertise, research, or personal experience with the rest of the University community?

Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to share your expertise, research or personal experience with others, whilst gaining some new skills along the way. We’d love to hear about significant topics with a global theme; this could be things like societal changes, environmental risks, international relations or scientific advances. Apply now!
