What we’re looking for

Young Business Networkers to come together as part of a group that will build relationships with local businesses and motivate them to support NSPCC’s work.

 

What you’ll do

Through networking with local businesses and professionals you’ll play a key role in supporting the growth and development of volunteering and fundraising within the South West and help to keep children safe.

 

Some of the activities you’ll be doing includeIdentifying fundraising ideas to deliver to activity both as group and individually with businesses, build connections with other Young Business Networkers, promote NSPCC’s work through social media, web, meetings and events and provide insight on local businesses

 

As a Business Networker you’ll work closely with your regional NSPCC contact to receive regular and timely updates on what’s happening at the NSPCC so you feel confident in promoting our work and raising vital funds.  

 

Within the role you’ll have opportunity to develop your personal skills, build your contacts and raise your profile. It is flexible, you only need to commit to a couple of hours a month, but can do more if you would like to.

 

What youll get

We’ll support you with advice, skills and tools to help you spread the word about the NSPCC. You’ll learn more about how you’re helping to protect children in your local area and across the UK. You’ll use your existing local knowledge and contacts to help guide us on how best to inspire others to take action for NSPCC.  

 

You will get the opportunity to meet and work with other volunteers and staff, relying on your skills as a Business Networker to make an impact in your area.

It’s also a chance to spend time with like-minded people and make new friends.

 

Who’s right for the role?

We are particularly looking for those who have connections to local businesses and have the following qualities and experience:

  • passionate about helping young people and children
  • Business knowledge and insight
  • Marketing and PR skills
  • comfortable talking about the NSPCC’s work
  • great communication and leadership skills
  • enthusiastic and personable
  • enjoys building relationships
  • a strong desire to connect NSPCC with local businesses.
