Bristol Debating Union is incredibly excited to annouce its collaboration with the University of Bristol's Sustainability team on their Be The Change initiative! This April the theme of the month is fashion and its impact on the environment. As part of our collaboration, we will be hosting a public debate on the motion:
"As environmentalists, this house regrets the rise of the gentrification of thrifting in the fashion industry"
Does the popularity of the second-hand market have a dark side? Is there truly any ethical consumption under capitalism? Answers to these questions and more when you come along to our public debate at the Old Council Chamber in Will's memorial building at 6pm on the 25th April!
You won't want to miss it!
