BUCG residential trip to Brecon Beacons agroforestry project !!

🌳🐞🐛 BUCG TRIP 23rd-25th March 2024 🌞🌿🐌

The trip will be to Tirylan House agroforestry project on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales. We’ll be doing some tree-planting, creating paths, pond digging, or forest gardening. Theres also the option to go on walks and hikes, play music, theres a little library and all vegan food!

It’s the first weekend of the uni easter break – think longer evenings and spring in full bloom. Transport is by train (unless you have a friend with car) and then it’s a short walk from the station, leaving Saturday morning and back Monday afternoon/evening. First BUCG residential trip in 4 years!

Because it’s a working-retreat, food and accommodation are free in exchange for volunteering - so the main cost is the price of the train ticket (currently around £28 return with railcard). Remember that you can always apply for the SU Activity Hardship Fund if you cannot afford to pay https://www.bristolsu.org.uk/support/tools-for-committees/group-finances/activity-hardship-fund

There are 17 places and we ask for a £5 ticket donation to the project to secure your spot. We'll make a groupchat with more information for people going ((:

Get in touch if you have any questions!!

Can't wait ((:
