White T-Shirt Party
This is our big annual welcome event; it is a queer night of fun and a great opportunity to meet new people or catch up with friends after the summer! Whether you just want a relaxed opportunity to mingle or a full on party, you can get both during different parts of the event! This is one of our biggest events of the year and always leads to many new friendships.
Everyone should wear a white t-shirt (you can buy this as part of your ticket or bring your own) and you will be given a marker pen. Make sure not to wear a precious or pale colour top under your t-shirt as the markers can sometimes stain. Throughout the night you can mingle with others while leaving a mark on their t-shirts! You can draw, write a message or just sign the t-shirt but this way everyone can collect something from each person they meet :)
The doors will open at 8PM and the event will start as a more chill mingle where you can get to meet people with some music in the background before it gets louder. After 10PM the night will slowly start transitioning into a more party vibe and if this is not your kind of thing, we would suggest finding a quiet space or leaving before 11PM. But if you are looking to party, we would still suggest coming early so you can meet people before it gets loud and people start focusing on dancing and singing more! We will be playing queer anthems, pop pleasures, club classics and lots more including some of your requests.

The event is taking place at The Exchange which is an accessible venue (check below for full accessibility info) and we will have exclusive hire of the space for the night with only those who purchased a ticket being allowed entry. Please make sure to bring your ID as you might be refused entry by the venue if you can’t prove you are over 18. There will be a bar available serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
There is a Buddy Scheme in place where after filling this form we will try to match you with someone else attending the event so you can come and/or leave together and you will have someone you’re in touch with already at the event! This is especially a great option for those that don’t know anyone coming to the event and are a bit worried about coming.
Tickets are £5 for standard members (or £3.50 if you are bringing your own t-shirt) and you get a £1 discount on either option if you purchased an Advanced membership. The £5 entry is comparable to many club nights in Bristol and you also get a t-shirt included in the price! Please note you will only be guaranteed your preferred T-Shirt size if you purchase your ticket before 18th September. If the venue doesn’t reach capacity, you will be able to buy tickets on the door using the SU website, however tickets on the evening of the event will be £1 extra compared to the standard pricing. Keep in mind you must have a membership to buy a ticket! If you are trying to buy a ticket and it says that your 'details don't match the criteria', head to our SU page and grab a (free) membership.

ACCESSIBILITY INFO:
Exchange has a small ramp entrance from the street which is about 5cm high with a shallow incline. The bar, main event space and accessible toilet are on the ground floor with level access throughout. There are also gender-neutral toilets available using a staircase. Taxis will pick you up and drop you off directly in front of the venue. There is a bus stop across the road from the venue with many different routes. Check here for more info.

Covid-19
- You should not attend any events if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have COVID-19 symptoms. We recommend taking a Lateral Flow Test before attending any event.
- The venues we work with will have different COVID measures in place which must be adhered to.
- If an event has to be cancelled due to government restrictions around COVID-19, we will attempt to reschedule the event. Your ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Refunds will only be issued if rescheduling is not possible.
General Terms and Conditions
- Bristol SU operates ticket purchasing for multiple events at venues across the city. These terms and conditions only apply where they are not superseded by an event promoter or a particular venue’s terms and conditions.
- Admission to all events is subject to the restrictions employed by the host venue.
- Students must bring their University of Bristol UCard to every event they wish to attend for identification purposes. For members of the public, photo ID will be required (e.g. passport, driving licence, proof of age card)
- Re-admission is not allowed once you have attended an event unless approved by the manager on duty.
- Right of admission is reserved by the venue management. Please note that you are still subject to Bristol SU’s event admission procedures and can be refused entry if you breach these.
- Your UCard is not transferrable – i.e. you cannot lend it to anyone else to get into the venue.
- Every effort will be made to allow priority queuing at all events – however, this cannot be guaranteed.
- All events are restricted to AGE 18+ unless specifically noted on the event page. All guests are required to provide proof of age if asked by the door staff, and you can be refused entry if you are unable to do this. Please note that any Bristol student who forgets their UCard will not be able to enter just by quoting their student number unless they can also produce proof of age.
- We may use your email address to contact you regarding any relevant changes to the event (e.g. rescheduling or cancellation).
Refunds - *** Please note that this is standard practice at every entertainments venue in the UK. *** ALL TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERRABLE. All sales are final. Refunds are not available on tickets once they have been purchased, including those purchased in error or non-attendance due to illness or injury. However, the following are certain instances in which a refund may be given. THERE ARE NO OTHER INSTANCES IN WHICH A REFUND MAY BE OFFERED.
- The entire event has been cancelled by the promoter or Bristol SU. In this instance, refunds are available to everyone who has purchased a ticket in advance.
- The main performing artiste has cancelled or the event altered for reasons beyond our control, but the event has still taken place. Again, refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and where authorised.
- The event has sold out, and there are people waiting for extra tickets. In this instance refunds may be given, and the tickets then resold to people on the waiting list once the re-sale cash has been received.
- In all instances the duty manager’s decision will be final.
Transfer Policy

All tickets purchased for Bristol SU events are non-transferrable – they are assigned exclusively to your account and cannot be moved to that of another person.
Physical Ticket Replacements
- For events with physical tickets, it is the responsibility of the individual purchaser to keep their ticket safe once it has been collected from the information point or welcome desk. Please note that replacement tickets will not be issued in the event of their loss or damage, and will need to be repurchased in this instance. It is advised that you write your name and Uni number on the back of your ticket so that it can be returned if handed in!
Filming, Photography and Broadcast

During events, the SU may broadcast the event live, take photographs or record videos (as adapted or otherwise) to be used for marketing and editorial purposes of the SU in all media worldwide, without restriction and in any format. Photographs and videos taken on the day may appear in the following publications without limitation: The SU website, SU social media channels, and SU publications. If you have any concerns about appearing in photographs, film or live broadcasts, please let us know in advance by emailing bristolsu-marketing@bristol.ac.uk and we will do our best to comply with your wishes.
