Clinical Psychology Workshop-Style Conference

This Clinical Psychology workshop-style conference will incorporate a number of short 30 minute to 1 hour training sessions for different forms of therapy. There will be an introductory talk about clinical psychology and common factors and pitfalls across therapies, followed by a few sessions on different types of therapies with activities incorporated into them. Throughout this, there will be a number of breaks for lunch and to get some fresh air.

The aim of this event is to make aspiring clinical psychologists feel more confident in your assistant psychologist applications (due to increased knowledge on types of therapies used in the NHS). And hopefully, if attendees are more aware of what each type of therapy entails, it will make you more confident in deciding what doctoral programmes to go for!

It is a completely free event, but it is ticketed and a ticket is required for entry. This is due to the venue's maximum capacity. If you book a space and are no longer able to attend, please either give this ticket away, or let the organiser know on the email at the bottom of this description. This will allow the space to be given to someone else.

The schedule for the day will be emailed out to attendees nearer to the time and posted on the PsychSoc Instagram Page. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the event begins as the first talk aims to start at 10am.
