Join us this Refreshers for an exciting day trip to the world famous Natural History Museum in London! 💂
You'll have a chance to explore the museum, meet new people and some free time to explore London. This is a great opportunity to explore the capital and enjoy one of the most acclaimed museums in the world.
08:30 - You'll meet outside the Richmond Building and get checked in by the SU Day Trips Team. Find a coach buddy and get yourself comfortable! 📝
09:00 - The coach will depart for London. Equipped with a toilet on board! 🚌
12:15 - Arrive at The Natural History Museum - make sure you check out their website ahead of time to see all the upcoming exhibits. With a mix of permanent and temporary exhibits there is always something amazing to see here! 🖼️
We recommend spending 2-3 hours in the museum. Our SU Day Trips team will coordinate all the tickets and entry into the museum so you don't have to worry about anything. Once inside, the visit will be self led.
14:30-17:30 - Free time to explore the surrounding areas of London. Bristol SU recommends:

🏛️ Albert Hall is a sight to behold, take some time to walk around this incredible monument to arts and culture in the UK.
The SU Day Trips team will have plenty of recommendations for where to visit, and will be using the WhatsApp chat to let you know what they're up to, so if you're not so confident exploring on you're own then there will be plenty of opportunity to join other groups on their adventures.
17:30 - Meet the SU Day Trips team to get checked in for the journey home. Want to stay in London? No problem, just let the team know not to expect you for the return journey.
17:45 - Coach departs for Bristol
21:00 - Arrive back in Bristol - We've heard your feedback and have added a stop in the City Centre on the way back to Clifton!
Your ticket includes all travel and staffing costs and entry to the Natural History Museum!
We try to keep prices as low as possible for our day trips, we price our tickets so that costs are covered for the coach company, entry to whatever attraction you are visiting on the day, and to cover the cost of the staff that coordinate the group while on the trip.
No, lunch is not included in the price of the ticket. We encourage attendees to either bring a packed lunch or there will be plenty of cafe's and shops to buy lunch upon your arrival! Whatever you prefer!
You can expect an email from us in the itinerary email leading up to the trip with a link inviting you to join. Keep an eye out for our message!

Yes, there is a toilet on the coach!
We work to make these trips as accessible as possible. If you're worried about barriers to coming on the day trip, please email us bristolsu-events@bristol.ac.uk and we will work with you to make adjustments where possible.
Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately, the coach is not wheelchair accessible. If you are in a wheelchair but would like to join us on the day trip please get in touch as we may be able to provide alternative adjustments, depending on the trip!
Carer/ Companion Tickets: We offer free Carer/ Companion tickets on all our events at Bristol SU for people with disabilities that an extra hand. Please email bristolsu-events@bristol.ac.uk to arrange this in advance of the trip - tickets are subject to availability as there are limited seats on the coach so make sure you let us know ahead of time.
