Give it a Go! Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Session 1

Self-defence, staying active or just want to try out another sport? Come along to our free taster session! Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or BJJ is a system of positions, sweeps, locks and holds centred around maintaining a dominant positon over your opponent. With a simple 'Tap out' system your safety is assured, and our range of experiences offer varied and challenging matchups no matter your athletic level. What we'd reccomend for training: Sports kit, if you have a rashguard feel free to wear it. Otherwise shorts and a T-shirt. A gum shield isn't mandatory, but still reccomended. Trimmed nails, and a general standard of hygeine is considerate for your training partners. The session structure: -A light warmup led by the coach, usually consisting of starjumps, crunches, and dynamic stretches. -A demonstration of the set technique, some variations and some applications. -Optional positional sparring, where we group up by weight and practice maintaining a dominant position.
