At UBNC we strive for a friendly, inclusive and welcoming environment. As one of Bristol's biggest women's clubs we strive for excellence, success and most importantly, fun! Our mantra is TEAM, Together Everyone Achieves More.
We have space for all abilities ranging from our social team, development team and our 6 competitive teams in BUCS with our 1st team playing in the South Premier League. All our competitive teams and development squad train twice a week and the BUCS teams have matches on Wednesdays!
We are proud to be a part of the performance sport programme at the University of Bristol. This gives us access to a specialised strength and conditioning programme from the amazing S&C coaches and full support from the University itself.

GIVE IT A GO

If you are new to netball or unsure about playing in university, our free Give It a GO netball session is perfect for you!
It's the perfect chance to try it out, meet some new people and ask questions to some of our the committee members and players.
When & where? -
SU Takeover day: Wednesday 16th September 2025
TIME: 2-3 pm at the Indoor Sports Centre. Located next to Senate House.
TRIALS |
Date: 19th September 2026
Time: 4:30-8pm
Location: Indoor Sports Hall
You will be allocated a specfic one hour slot within this time frame to ensure everyone gets plenty of match play.

SOCIAL NETBALL |
Wanting to play social netball this year? Social netball is a great option if you are wanting to play casually or get back into netball! The sessions are a great way to meet people of all abilities and take part in our Wednesday socials. You can buy a full year membership or half a year membership!

INTRAMURAL NETBALL |
If you’re looking to play netball in a more social setting, every sunday there is a fantastic Intramural Netball League at the University of Bristol. The league offers students the opportunity to play regular, competitive but social matches against other student teams, with four divisions. SOCIALS |
There’s more to UBNC than just netball! We have regular Wednesday socials, organised by our social secs. Throughout the year, we also have bigger events including our Christmas Dinner and End of Season Awards, alongside plenty of non-alcoholic socials such as rounders, coffee dates, run clubs, picnics and bowling.

Membership Fee Inclusions
Prior to signing up to a Club or Society speak to the Committee to find out what your membership includes and if there are any further expenses throughout the year.
Service Standards
All Club or Society members can expect to receive:
- The opportunity to attend regular meetings, events, activities, trips and socials as arranged.
- The opportunity to stand for a committee position or vote in their elections (Bristol students only).
- For Sports Club – to attend regular training sessions and have the opportunity to be selected for the teams.
Code of Conduct
When joining a club or society you are agreeing to abide by the constitution, general rules, regulations and policies of University of Bristol Students’ Union and also the Club or Society Code of Conduct which sets out the level of behaviour & discipline expected of all Club & Society members.
Refund Policy
Any customer who pays for a membership subscription to a Bristol SU Society, Sports Club, Student Media and initiatives has a 14 day cooling off period from the time and date of purchase during which they have the right to cancel the subscription and receive a full refund. If you do decide to cancel within the 14 days, Bristol SU will refund your payment within a further 30 days of the cancellation. To request a refund please email: bristolsu@bristol.ac.uk
Data sharing (Sports Club members only)
Please be aware that Bristol SU may share data relating to the members of its sports clubs with the Centre for Sport, Exercise and Health (a department of the University). This information may be used for the purposes of communicating direct with these members and/or to cross-reference against SEH's Sports Pass membership records.
As part of Bristol SU's membership of British Universities & Colleges Sports (BUCS) Bristol SU may have to share data on to its sports clubs members so BUCS can, from time to time, communicate with these members.

If you're joining one of the societies listed below please be aware that your name and email address will be shared with Bristol Hub for the purpose of keeping you up to date with their activities through their email “The Week”:
