The Uyghur Struggle: The History, Faith and Hijacking of a Cause

Join us for a talk on "The Uyghur Struggle: The History, Faith and Hijacking of a Cause," with Mosaab Sadeia, president of Free Uyghur Now, the largest youth led advocacy organisation, and co-host of the Thinking Youth

The Uyghurs are a Turkic Muslim people native to East Turkestan, a region with a long and proud legacy of Islamic scholarship, trade, and culture. Today, this community faces one of the most pressing human rights crises of our time, marked by mass internment, restrictions on worship, and the systematic erasure of their identity. Join us for an insightful talk exploring the history, faith, and ongoing struggle of the Uyghur people, as well as how their cause has been misunderstood and misrepresented within global discourse.

Please make sure to get a free ticket and bring your Ucard to the event.
