Devon Day Trip (Donkey Sanctuary & Jurassic Coast)

Looking to explore Devon's gorgeous Jurassic Coast and meet some Donkeys along the way? Join Bristol SU for this adventure filled day trip to Devon! 🏞️

What to expect?

Spend the first part of the day exploring The Donkey Sanctuary, home to hundreds of donkeys and a charity that supports thousands more around the world. We've arranged a short talk for you to learn about what they do at the Donkey Sanctuary. Then you'll have some free time to explore the site: meet the Donkeys, walk their scenic coastal paths along the Jurassic Coast and engage in rural life on this working farm! 🫏

We'll spend the afternoon in the nearby town of Sidmouth, just a short drive away. This quaint coastal town is known as the gateway to The UNESCO Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and boasts incredible natural beauty. Spend some time walking along the seafront, exploring the streets full of Regency-style architecture or visiting the historical sites including the gorgeous Connaught Gardens and Sidmouth Museum. 🌅

We'll invite you to a WhatsApp group chat the day before, and the SU Day Trips Team will be available all day to answer your questions and suggest places to go. They'll also let you know what they're up to and be joining in on the fun, leading smaller groups to popular sites during free time. So if you're coming on your own there will be plenty of opportunities to meet new people and make new connections throughout the day.
