Donate your Plate - Collection Point

Are you moving out of halls and don’t know what to do with all of your odd bits of kitchenware? Our new Donate Your Plate initiative will offer you a place to donate any of your unwanted kitchen waste – from forks and spoons to pots and pans. All items collected will be offered out to new and returning students in welcome week – creating a full sustainable cycle.

So, if you have any perfectly good items, that could be useful for someone when you leave them behind, donate them at one of our collection points throughout June.

This is our second collection point, which will be held at Clifton Hill House.

The aim of the campaign is to collect items The British Heart Foundation is unable to sell in their shops, therefore when choosing which kitchen items to donate, please use the following guidance:

  • Forks and spoons not in full sets
  • Pots and pans without lids
  • Vegetable peelers
