Glastonbury & Wells Day Trip

Join fellow students as we explore the amazing town of Glastonbury and the enchanting city of Wells! 🧙‍♂️

What should you expect on the trip?

Your adventure starts with a scenic drive to Glastonbury, a town steeped in myth and legend. The iconic Glastonbury Tor rises behind it where you can walk to the summit. As we ascend, the view offers a breath-taking 360-degree vista of the Somerset countryside.

After taking in the magic of Glastonbury, we'll travel to the nearby city of Wells - England's smallest city! Known for it's beautiful cobbled streets - including Europe's oldest intact street (Vicars' Close) - and it's stunning Cathedral, which features Gothic architecture and the oldest surviving medieval clock. Here at the Cathedral we have arranged for you take take part in tours in smaller groups, which will take place throughout the afternoon. ⛪

We'll invite you to a WhatsApp group chat the day before, and the SU Day Trips Team will be available all day to answer your questions and suggest places to go. They'll also let you know what they're up to and be joining in on the fun, leading smaller groups to popular sites during free time.

So if you're coming on your own there will be plenty of opportunities to meet new people and make new connections throughout the day.
