Team Selection 2026/27
- M1 and M2 tryouts on 21st september
- W1 tryouts 27th september

This year team selection will be held in studio 1 on Monday 21st of September for Mixed 1 and Mixed 2 teams and on the 27th september for Womens 1 team. All 3 weapons will occur on the same day and at the same times as eachother to give everyone a good oportunity to meet other potential team members. An additional tryout on the 28th might be used if there is a high turnout and we will make it clear during the 21st and 27th if an additional session is needed.
The format of the tryouts will be lots of matches to 5 hits aiming to fight as many people as you can in order to best showcase your abilities and because 5 hits is the format of the BUCS team matches. During the tryouts the respective Team Captains with the help from the Performance Officer and any Coaches will place everyone onto a team that best reprisents their abilities. While places are limited all members that wish to participate in BUCS matches are garanteed to be placed on a team and given the oportunity to have atleast 2 matches a year.
Attending the tryout sessions will garantee you a spot on one of the teams however if you are unable to attend these dates please contact us on bristolunifencing@outlook.com in advance and exceptions may be made on a case by case basis and a place cannot be garanteed.
