University of Bristol Tea Society
The University of Bristol Tea Society is a welcoming, relaxed society for anyone who enjoys a good cup of tea and even better company. We celebrate tea in all its forms — from everyday favourites to loose-leaf classics and more unusual blends from around the world.
Whether you’re a seasoned tea enthusiast or someone who just enjoys a calm space to unwind, Tea Society is a place to slow down, chat, and enjoy something simple done well.
We run regular tastings, themed socials, and cosy events throughout the year, offering a chance to explore different teas, learn a little along the way, and meet people from across the university in a friendly, low-key setting.
No expertise required — just curiosity (and maybe a favourite mug). Tea Society is about warmth, conversation, and taking a break from the rush of university life. Come for the tea, stay for the atmosphere.
Why Join Tea Society?
University life can be busy, noisy, and a little overwhelming at times. Tea Society offers something different: a calm, friendly space where you can slow down, meet new people, and enjoy simple pleasures without pressure or pretence.
Joining Tea Society means giving yourself permission to pause — whether that’s chatting over a pot of tea after lectures, trying something new in a tasting, or spending an afternoon creating something by hand. Our events are designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and easy to drop into, making it a lovely way to meet people across different courses and years.
If you’re looking for a society that values warmth, conversation, and community just as much as the tea itself, Tea Society is the place for you.
