Benchmarking & Planche Sunday Session

  1. Beginner:

    1. Everyone finds a partner for benchmarking purposes. Each partner will count reps/ time of the other going through.

    2. Benchmarking in following order:

      1. Dips

      2. Handstand hold against wall

      3. Pushups

      4. Rows

      5. Pistol Squats

      6. Plank

    3. Cool down:

      1. Whim Hoff breathing technique

  2. Advanced:

    1. Planche training game:

      1. Everybody lines up in a random order. Everybody gets ready in planche lean position. Session leader starts the clock and everybody together starts the planche lean. When the first person fails, whoever that person is, everybody stops. That person goes to the left of the line of people. Get ready in position and do max planche lean again. When the next person fails they go to the right of the person who failed originally. (If the person who fails this time is the person who failed before, wait for the second person to fail and apply the rule to them). Repeat this until there are two people on the right who have not been the first to fail on any attempt. Hold planche lean until there is a winner.

    2. Planche circuit:

      1. 30 seconds on, 40 seconds off:

        1. Pseudo push-ups (or hold the bottom position if too difficult)

        2. Reverse planche lean hold

        3. Push-up top position hold with scapular retraction

        4. Pike push-ups (or pike push-up hold if too difficult)

        5. Planche lean hold

        6. Planche lean hold

        7. Planche lean hold
