Lifesaving Sport is a unique and dynamic sport that combines swimming and rescue/first aid skills into a mix of events ranging from races to simulated emergencies. This session will be split into pool and dryland parts. In the pool, we will cover fin swimming, obstacles (like hurdles), different tows, and basic rescue skills. In our dryland, we will cover some basic first aid, lifesaving skills, and introduce SERCS ( simulated emergency rescue competitions). Feel free to attend either or both the pool and dry sessions, which are 1:30 to 2:30 in the pool and 3:00 to 5:00 in the Stacy Room. As a club, we pride ourselves on being as welcoming to all abilities as possible. So, whether you've spent years in the pool or are just wanting to try something new, please pop along or send any questions to our Instagram @bristolunilsc. Lifesaving love :)
