About me

Hi, I'm Varenya Mehrotra, your Union Affairs Officer for 2026/27! I joined Bristol in 2023, and recently graduated with my undergraduate degree in Law. Having been a Student Trustee and a student group leader for Indian Society throughout my time at university, I am excited to support students in every way possible. Be it finding activity or study spaces, alleviating student poverty, or strengthening SU democracy, I'm on it!

My role entails working with student groups to ensure an enjoyable experience for students both participating and leading the groups. I am extremely passionate about reducing financial barriers for students to enjoy student group activities, and I want to ensure student groups get more space to conduct their events!
