Building on the success of last year’s agreement, we’ve secured a new set of commitments from the University Executive Board (UEB) for the 2025/26 academic year.
This new agreement with the University Executive Board (UEB) is directly aligned with Full-Time Officers’ collective priorities for 2025/26: Student Poverty, Academic Satisfaction and Empowering Communities. As part of this commitment, senior University leaders have agreed to support key manifesto pledges, including lobbying the Mayoral Combined Authority (WECA) to improve buses across the city, exploring ways to reduce the costs of food and laundry on campus, and increasing transparency around the marking and moderation process.
Students who are a part of our brilliant sports groups will be pleased to hear that Derby Day is set to return in March, and the Injury Support Group will continue to build community for athletes facing time on the sidelines. You also told us in the BBSU survey that you needed more space to study and take part in Student Group activities, so we’re making that happen, starting with the launch of our new Bristol SU Basement.
Evelyn Welch, the Vice-Chancellor and President of the University was pleased to be working with the Officers again this year; "I am delighted to see the third year of this highly effective partnership with the Student Union Officers, enabling us to work together to deliver on important priorities for students."
You can follow our progress, see who’s responsible, and find out what to expect through the UEB x Bristol SU Officers Progress Tracker.
