The Swap Shop is a sustainable campaign launched by the SU to provide students with access to free food, clothes and books!
The Swap Shop is a community larder, clothes and books swap. Here you can pick up canned and non-perishable foods (such as pasta, oats and rice). Don’t forget to bring containers! The clothes rail holds clean and undamaged pre-loved items that are free to take. The Book Swap, which includes all the books on the shelves on the SU Living Room, is a great opportunity to donate books you’ve read and find new ones to read.
Donations of non-perishable food items and clothes in a good condition are very welcome and encouraged! You can leave these donations in the donation boxes in Senate House (4th floor and Ground floor). To leave book donations, simply add them to the shelves!
The Bristol SU Living Room is on the 4th floor of Senate House. Step free access is available at each entrance. Once inside the building there are lifts which service all floors. There are doors around the building which have to be opened manually. Accessible toilets are available on the Lower Ground, Ground, First, Third, and Fifth floors. Gender neutral toilets are available on the First and Fourth floors.
We welcome event and space attendees who need to bring medicines, food, or drink to manage a medical condition, or medical equipment. Please email us on bristolsu-events@bristol.ac.uk or speak to a member of staff on arrival if you have any questions or concerns.
