We’re proud to announce that the Men’s Football Club has been named Bristol SU’s Group of the Month for October!
This recognition celebrates their outstanding work in fostering a positive club culture, promoting inclusion, and building a strong sense of community. Here’s a look at what they’ve achieved:
Off the pitch, the club welcomed former Arsenal and England player Tony Adams to campus, where he shared his personal journey with mental health and addiction, an inspiring moment for many students.
To make social events more inclusive, the committee launched Sober Socials, creating welcoming spaces for non-drinkers and encouraging open conversations around wellbeing and addiction.
In line with this commitment, the club has partnered with Nacoa, a charity supporting children of alcoholics, as their new sponsor for the year. A brilliant collaboration!
To boost engagement, the club continues to run a Weekly Run Club, open to all students. In partnership with Mocha Mocha, it’s a great way to promote fitness and connection beyond the pitch.
On the pitch, the teams have already played five full fixtures, including matches against Bath, Birmingham, and local Saturday league sides. They’ve also kicked off their BUCS season, best of luck to all the players involved!
Training sessions have seen record-breaking attendance, with Week 3 marking the highest turnout in club history. The energy and commitment from players has been exceptional.
