Welcome Fair 2025: Who’s There?

Thursday 21-08-2025 - 11:33

The Welcome Fair is the biggest event of the year—and it’s coming up soon!

If you're joining us on Saturday 27 September, just after Welcome Week, here’s some places you should visit. Make sure to pass it on to your mates and student group so everyone’s ready for the day 🎪

Over 300 Student Groups 🏅

Across the site, you’ll find large white gazebos packed with stalls run by student groups. They’ll be there to share info about their group, how to join, what’s coming up, and how you can get involved.

Each stall will be staffed by committee members, so it’s a great chance to ask questions and find the groups that suit you best.

The SU Bar 🍻

New for this year, we will be bringing our own bar up to the Fair! Grab a drink with your new mates and take a breather after wandering around all the stalls and tents.

We will be serving drinks from local brewer Bristol Beer Factory, with pints from just £3.50! 🍻

Soft and other alcoholic drinks will also be available!

Bristol SU Marketplace 👚

In need of some new garms? Fred and Gilbert are your go-to vintage re-sellers! Culla Collective will be selling prints for your new room and Dona B will be selling her charming illustrations of Bristol for you to take home ⭐

Finally, head over to the SEH stand where you can learn more about competitive sport at Bristol, gym memberships and competing 🏉

City Support Services 👇

As well as support from the University, there are trusted, specialist services across Bristol you can access for free.

At this year’s Welcome Fair, you’ll find tents from:

  • SARSAS: Alongside The Bridge and SafeLink, SARSAS offers confidential support for anyone affected by sexual violence or assault. Drop by to chat with their team and learn what help is available beyond University Support. Read more about these trusted services and the University support through our support centre.
  • BDP: We’ve teamed up with Bristol Drugs Project and Horizons to support safer choices around drugs and alcohol. Their student-focused service, The Drop, offers practical, non-judgmental advice and support. Swing by, pick up some freebies and learn more about our harm reduction approach to Drugs and Alcohol.

SU Services and Info Point ⚡

Stop by the Bristol SU Info Point and speak with one of our friendly staff members in light blue uniforms - they’re here to help! They can support you with directions, lost property, facilities, free period products, hiden disability stickers and information on what's at the fair.

We also have outreach stands with staff from our other SU services, these include;

SU Shop ⬇️

Did you know that Bristol SU Shop is your go-to spot for all your Bristol Uni merch?

Visit the shop and grab your university hoodie or fleece. Or maybe you would prefer a new water bottle or some branded stationary for lectures, because we have those too!

All our items are made to last, so you can remember your time at Bristol Uni for years to come. Come check it out at the Welcome Fair, or on the ground floor of the Richmond Building ⭐

The Food Vendors 🍔

Once you have stocked up on freebies, found your new Student Group and checked out the shops – grab some food from one of the Bristol-based food vendors on site!

With a range of food on offer, you can expect Japanese from Mr Noodle, BBQ from Big Nath, Bao from You Bao and sweet treats from Pipp and Co (their doughnuts are to die for…trust us!).

Join us at the Fair!
